Blogging Block - and how short is too short??

Having the kids home all day is doing a number on my ability to think. Someone is ALWAYS talking! I've started at least 3 posts and have been unable to finish any of them. Either I need to referee between bickering kids, rescue Jason from wherever he's gotten himself stuck, or deal with William (which seems to be a constant thing these days.) Whatever it is, by the time I get back to trying to get some thoughts down, the moment has passed. On a positive note, I scored a great desk on Craigs List for my 'craft' area in the basement. It's perfect for what I want, and I'll be showing it to you soon!

I do have a question for y'all, while you're here. I am very happy to say (and doing a happy dance!) that my pre-Sarah and Jason shorts fit! And the skirt I was working so hard to get into! 19 months later and 2 lbs to go (which I am not really caring about at this point), I'm VERY glad to be where I am. So, here's the problem: my pre-Sarah/Jason shorts from 4 years ago (HOW has it been that long??!) hit about mid-thigh. Which seems pretty short to me now. I've been wearing bermudas since last summer & really love them, but these are perfectly good, practically new denim shorts. Dare I wear them out in public? Or is the fact that I'm even asking the question all the answer that I need? Comments please! and next time I'll try to have something more interesting for you to read :)

  2. WEAR EM! But if you don't feel real comfortable in them, wear a nice long tee too.

  3. I only like long shorts. I'm 5'9", though, so they're kind of hard to find. Good luck with reaching your goal - that's awesome.

  4. You make me smile :) Congratulations on the pre-pregnancy shorts, yay!!! It feels so good. I just went through my closet and sent a lot of clothes packing for goodwill ~ not because they don't fit but because I don't feel comfortable in them anymore. Skirts that are just a tad too short, shorts that are too short. I wondered why I was holding onto them. I say, if you are comfortable in the shorts, go for it! For some reason I'm turning into an old lady, and I don't like to wear anything that fall above the knee :)

  5. Congrats on getting back into your pre-baby clothes! I bet that feels great, AND it's kinda like you're getting a whole new wardrobe because now everything fits! Wear those shorts, girl! Mid-thigh is definitely not too short!

  8. I agree on all the woo hoos!!!!!

I would also wear them, unless you just plain feel uncomfortable. If you don;t feel good in them...donate them, and shop for some new ones :)

  9. Isn't that sad. By the time you get some of your shape back the styles have changed.
I have been SO many sizes the past 16 years, with 4 pregnancys in between, and YES I can still get in SOME of my pre Tatum clothes...but you know what? They are horrible!! They don't fit like the styles are now (especially JEANS..grrr), but I have a fix.
I feel GREAT when I go buy new, and they fit, and I feel CONFIDANT! If you can... go get something that YOU are comfortable in (inside and out:)

  10. Wow - you rock girl!

Hmmmm, for me, I like my shorts to fall about 3 inches above the knee. I have long legs, so it's hard to find the perfect length. Of course, if I'm running, my shorts are a little shorter than that, but I'm so fast that nobody can really see them ;)
